To answer some of your questions, I live in the UK and we have no right to protest any where near the palace of westminster, we can be held for up to 28 days WITHOUT charge; the Arch Bishop of Canterbury, an African man, said that he 'escaped his own country because he was being treated to this regeme, cameras watch our every move (4 million cameras in London alone) our phone conversations are logged listened to, we are encouraged to tell on our friends and neighbours if they break the 'law' , (over 3000 new laws have been 'invented' since Labour came into power 10 years ago..do you need any more evidence?

I mean, it's obvious this is what's happening. I can only pray for those who still object and belittle you for stating your REALITY, because they're living theirs, and they're in America. Because they're too stuck in their cubicles, they can't see what's actually happening.

People, did you hear what he said, THEY CAN'T PROTEST! oh my gosh, i'm so scared. go to infowars.com. go to google.com type in terrorstorm or police state and go to video, we're not trying to make you some conspiracy theorist, we want you to wake up. SAVE AMERICA!

Yes, but I don't care.

They took a neighbor away for his sword collection. But I still speak my mind to whoever I feel like.

I think the whole thing has kind of receded anyway. The BNP started getting mainstream folk to vote for it, and the Labour party let up a little on things like the use of the English and British flag around minorities and on the freedom to criticize religions.

Not that Labour doesn't want a police state. They're slowing taking away trial by jury and other rights (Tories took away freedom to assemble and freedom to assemble).

Of course, you now have the right to break all ten commandments in public at any time of night, but not the right to stop someone else from violating your property.

But since the police have no rights anyway, might as well ignore the law, they won't be able to prosecute you anyway.

I love how the above poster put 'Kinda like living in Nazi Germany'

Did you live in Nazi Germany? What do you know about it?

Neither the UK or the USA are police states. Both have rule of law which while sometimes these go to far - they are far from a police state.

Look at the history of Argentina and Chile in the 80s or Nazi Germany. At what point in the USA/UK can you be abducted from the street, tortured and then executed without a fair trial?

It's absurd - no it's ABSOLUTELY ABSURD to believe that we live in a police state in either the USA or the UK.

Just because Big Brother is watching doesn't mean he'll do anything about it.

My cousin lives in Florida he tells me it's the same as ever living in America post or pre Patriot Act. I think people who try to say you live in a police state are looking for the shock value or are pissed off left wingers looking for something to piss an moan about.
