I have a question, if you're so sure in your beliefs and that nothing can change them, why do you keep coming back to R/S? This should be old to you and boring if you have no need for it right? Don't tell me "I'm here to give people the truth." That's a nice answer, a more common would be "I want to annoy some relgious people." which I'm sure everyone get's a kick out of ;). But even that would get old after like four or five answers or questions. Why do you keep coming back and responding to every question/ answer with "There is no god, no afterlife, get your head out of your fairytale book and live in the real world." I've browsed some atheist users and they seem to follow the open questions on RS like hawks. Why do you keep at it?

Wow people, just because I asked a question about atheists that probably annoyed a lot of em, doesn't make me religious, funny, I don't remember saying I was anywhere in the question, just curious why atheists seem to do more here, i used to do it but then it got old, why not for the rest of you?

It's Yahoo!Answers, and we have the correct answers. Why shouldn't we? Isn't it harder to explain why believers keep coming here, in light of the fact that they usually DON'T have the correct answers? Shouldn't being wrong all the time get old even faster?

What does "if you're so sure in your beliefs and that nothing can change them" have to do with anything? I suspect that like so many believers here, you're trying to convince yourself that the atheists here secretly believe in god. We see that constantly, and it really should raise a little red flag in your heads: why are so many believers so insecure about the fact that there are atheists?

Now, I think the answer is obvious. Look at the behavior of the believers and the atheists here - the atheists are obviously smarter, more well-informed, better writers, more mature, far less likely to be mentally ill or otherwise desperate, more ethical, and more patriotic. The Christians' contributions amount to very little besides reciting propaganda, childish whining, and lies about others. No wonder you want the adults to leave the room.

Side comment: what makes you think that atheists believe that "nothing can change" our beliefs? I'm an atheist because there is no evidence for a god's existence. If there were such evidence, I'd change my beliefs. Atheism isn't about dogmatically ignoring reality: it's about accepting reality. If there really were evidence of a god, you can be sure that the vast majority of atheists would become believers.

It's an open forum to pass the time. I probably get the same out of it as you. I assume you are also sure of your beliefs, yet here you are heckling atheists.

It will probably get old for me one day too. I only joined earlier this year and find that the R&S section appeals to me 'cause it is often amusing and also one of the few places where you can freely express your opinions on religion and spirituality without being intimitated by personal, physical confrontation.

Is it because so many of you keep on keeping your heads in your fairytale book regardless of the times you've been told not to do it...Bad Theists! you are so arrogant and listen to nothing that conflicts with your chosen beliefs.

Why do Christians keep coming here when supposedly the Bible has all the answers they could ever need?

It's a forum for debate. To suggest that one group or another shouldn't be here or question their presence without doing the same for the other is not particularly honest.

I am a born again Christian and this question caught my eye? the atheists are afraid of what is happening in the world they see the Bible prophesies coming to pass that is why they are questioning their belief system one guy yesterday received Jesus and He said he was an atheist.but then he said I better receive Jesus just in case i am wrong. They are scared and we have to tell them about Jesus.I always ask them what year is it?they will say 2007.I will say how come it is 2007.they say i don't know.I said did you ever think it is 2007 years since Jesus was on the earth.and before that it was B.C.and they will say I know what is that they exclaim I say that means before Christ. It gets them thinking.God bless you and keep on your mission.Well done.

People love confrontation in general, and this forum is a pretty low-risk way of debating someone.

Why do theists keep on asking atheists the same question? Actually I felt my quips towards theists were quite funny.

Wow what a good question.

Idiot.

Would you complain that not everyone in the 'alcohol' room was a drunken alcoholic?
