Very good question. It would be called monotheism.
Hebrews 11:9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. "
Paul says Abraham looked to only one God.
Abraham was called of God to be the father of many nations. And this would include religious nations as well. From Isaac we get Judiaism (and later Chritianity) and it's possible that from Ishmael we get Islam. I know Abraham had more than one wife as well so I'm not sure where Islam came from but it had to come from Abraham.
The distinguishing faiths came from the fact that God promised to Abraham a son that would be heir to all he had and all the promises that God had bestowed to Abraham. And that only his wife Sarai or Sarah would have that son that would receive the promises of God. Abraham believed God even thought they were both well past the age to have children. And by faith they did.
Ishmael and his descendants were promised blessing, I suppose the best is that no one would rule over them. That is ultimate freedom. But I believe it is their religion that empowers them to be that way. I have no problem with that at all. I just don't like the extremists amongst them that would use their religion as a weapon of war to destroy another society and not to help them build it up.

If you believe the bible, Abraham was the first monotheist... the first man who believed in just one God. From his descendants, three religions were founded -- Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
Noah was Jewish.
If you believe...

Judaism or Islam
Actually, NEITHER. Those are only two figures in those faiths.
It was actually Yahweh (or Allah if you wish) that 'brought' the religion.
