I live in the Seattle Tacoma area and we have lots of live poker and it is growing daily -I have never delt poker but I play alot and I hear dealers talking and it all comes down to your linc. and your audition ,if you are good you can deal sooner but green rookies are expected to "BRUSH" "CHIP RUNNER" and other gofer type jobs first -

I don't know about where you live but i deal here in Vegas and most rooms you go to you will start off on the extra board and have to work up from there. I started out in a breaking house and some days i would be a chip runner and some days i would deal, it didn't take me 5 months to get to deal, i had 3 dealing shifts per week to start out and after a few months i was full time. Its pretty slow right now here but there are jobs here if you are good enough.

it may be even harder soon when they introduce the auto tables with video screens and computer dealers at tables with real players in casinos - they have these in some casinos already - so i would consider a different job
