No. There is a vast world of difference between having faith and being stupid. Medical insurance is a must these days, have you ever seen a medical bill without insurance? It's literally hundeds of dollars to thousands of dollars, depending on what you get done. It's a matter of saving money and getting help at a hospital if you need it (some people will not treat you if you have no insurance). That has nothing to do with faith, but with being smart in today's world.
Tell me, if you have so much faith in science, would you forgo your medical insurance and give that money to science? Probably not, because you know that without your insurance, the next time you are injured or sick, your medical bills can put you in serious debt. And where would science be then? Same place it always was, but you'll be on the street.

Why is it that so many non-Christians try to "get" Christians by asking questions about things the obviously don't understand.
Faith does not demand irresponsibilty or stupidity on the part of the faithful. A tithe is exactly what God said it is, the first fruits not payment in lieu of something else to protect you from God's wrath.
Seriously.... if you don't have a faith in God, or don't believe the Bible.... good for you, you have made your choice and you get to live with the consequences.... but why ask ignorant questions about the faith you by definition can't understand.... it's getting old.
Here is your question asked a different way, maybe you'll see the stupidity in it... If you are skydiving, why wear a helmet when you already have the parachute?
I'll pray for you.

Absolutely not. Having faith in God is not believin that He is going to always do what we want Him to. It is believing that He will answer with His wisdom. As far as our decisions go, common sense needs to prevail. Where is the money in that collection plate going by the way?

No. If I left a sickness or injury untreated, I'd be too ill or dead to put money in the collection plate. Common sense prevails.

No way. Because to do that would be putting myself in a bad situation, which is just not smart. I don't have to test God to have faith in him. I unintentionally put myself in enough situations were I need him without testing him. And I have gone through situations that I know only he could have helped me through. And I give what I can.

We are supposed to be good stewards of what God has given us. I don't call foolishness being a good steward, do you?
