It is because we keep hoping that those who say "science only" will finally "see the light." It is not for our benefit - we already knew - it is because you needed it.

From my complete faith God has given me an understanding. It's like something I can't put into words, but then when I find the right words that fit my understanding I know it is true because I feel the Holy Spirit within me. This is very exciting because when these things first started happening to me, I thought I was going crazy. I'd never heard of such a thing being possible. I am more confidant and comfortable now, but still not very well educated. I feel like I have to hurry and learn everything I can about everything, lol.

Oh that's the great thing about theists, every single piece of proof they think they have is torn apart and they just search for more. Why when creationists are shown a transitional fossil do they look elsewhere for gaps? Why don't they stay on that example and reflect what being proven wrong means for their world view?
They just can't or won't understand reality.
I mean some of them are reduced to what they feel are common sense arguments but to me sound like incredible ignorance.
'Well God made you, didn't he?' Hm. Well, no actually he didn't. I think you'd find all my DNA came from either of my parents.

I think you are assuming this..I have never been excited about the shroud of Turin I am always pleased about findings of old scripture to see that little has changed from the words we have today...I admit findings are interesting but my faith is in God and I need no scientific findings and actually I don't believe that science could ever or will ever reveal God as I believe God reveals himself and his truths to whom he chooses.. those who love the truth.

It is in the context of faith that you want proof of the matter. It is your longing to prove to yourself that amidst doubts, the Bible remains unscatched. It is your faith that tells you to question and erase your doubts. Faith tells you to test the Lord and see for yourself, the truth. If you have no faith at all, is is not that you would not question the Bible, but you wouldn't even bother to ask, isn't it?

Of course people want to see evidence. It's exciting. It makes you go OOOOOOOO!
I really don't care as I know my faith is exactly that.... and article of faith.

Maybe faith is like virginity - once you've lost it, you're not getting it back ;-)
