My neigbor just visited. She brought her 3 year old daughter with her. They were sitting on my couch when next thing I get a whiff... the kid poops her panties and messes all over my couch. The mom up's and goes home, leaving me to deal with a messy couch!!! Am I right to be pissed off?

you have absolutely every right to be upset. It's bad enough when our OWN children do that and we have to clean it up let alone someone ELSE'S child. Makes me wonder what their house is like. Does she let the stuff sit there 'til she gets around to cleaning it? Or wait for someone ELSE to clean it up for her?

It's not only common courtesy, but a respect issue to clean up your child's mess. It's not YOUR responsibility to clean up after her 3 yr old. If she comes over again with the child, I would make sure she either puts on a pull up or wears those plastic pants that go over her underwear. That way it'll protect your furniture should she do it again.

I would have called her after I gave her 15 minutes to clean her daughter up, And nicely have said ..... Ummm you know your lil one left a nasty mess on my couch mind coming back over and cleaning it up ! Not that you should of had too.

I would have never ever left a mess like that for a friend. That was really rude of her o do so....... I would be highly pissed off too.

Maybe she should try pull ups, or listen to her kid and make sure she takes her more often. Being that small she should of carried wipes and a change with her at all times so she could of cleaned her daughter up easily and your couch also.

Yes - I am a mum of a little boy who likes to touch and makes a mess wherever he goes. Before i leave i will always put back what he has moved and clean up any mess he has made. It is just common curtosy! How rude of your friend. Anything to do with vomit or piddle and poop should be cleaned up immediatly by the parents of the chil. In my opinion!

You have every right to be angry.

If you went to hers and spilt a drink would you not offer to clean it up!

I can understand she wanted to get the child home to wash, but when potty training you should always carry spares

She could have cleaned her up then at least offered to help clean your couch.

I would be really pissed off! That's just unbelievably rude. Get the couch professionally cleaned then send her the bill.
