I think it really depends on what you're looking for, how old you are, etc...each site really has it's own unique style, and by extension, a different feel/clientele. I personally like Match, but that's because I met my boyfriend there. :-P
I put links to some pretty detailed reviews in the source. You can see how many members each site has, what options are free and which you have to pay for, etc. Good luck!
And don't listen to anyone who says online dating either doesn't work or is lame. They are losers living in the past. Welcome to the 21st century, people! It's a whole new world. :-D
