Can I import them into another program??

If it is a word document you can open and edit it in wordpad. Otherwise get a free office suit from http://www.openoffice.org
It is a big download more than 90MB

It depends on how you've saved it. You could have saved it in .txt format, inwhich case you can edit it with almost any text editor (eg. Notepad). But if you had saved it in Word format (.doc) then you will need another word-processor package such as in OpenOffice. But if you can't get hold of any, I suggest you try opening your documents with Wordpad. If it work, fine. If not, get them resaved in *.rtf format which is more 'universal' and can be read by most word processors.

Open Office its free and can also convert to pdf

To save a long download check out the computer mags at your local shop for copies on the cover DVD's.

I think you can download the free OpenOffice suite:

It's almost just as good as Office.
