All I know is that this time heals all wounds thing is crap! I know from experience. Not only that but I am in a similar scenario. It seems that sometimes I am good at giving other people advice, but when it comes to my own situation I'm shot down and totally confused. But let me think.... hmmm? I wanna make ammends with my ex, but don't know how either. I do know that it is necessary to try. But trying may or not guarantee success, because you may make mistakes along the way of trying to pick up the shattered pieces, and cut your finger. At the same time, this relies on you not only being open and honest with your ex, but on your ex deciding to make comprimises with you... and no matter how hard you try you absolutely can't make anyone do anything. You can persuade, apologize, suggest, manipulate, but this doesn't guarantee a positive result. The other person will have to want to do whatever it is you are suggesting. And convincing them of this can be quite a daunting task. You may have even admitted all your faults and got no-where, like me. Is it going to stop me from trying to make peace with my ex again? Hell, no. I'm too stubborn for that. But what I am going to tell you, is that sometimes you need to take a step out of the situation, before you can know how to handle it, and see what the situation really is like, rather than looking on back at the way things were, and dreaming too much about the way things could be. Before you can even truly attempt to make ammends at all, you have to understand the reality that this situation is not the same anymore. And once you realize this, you can, possibly, work on figuring out the solution. As for me in my own situation, this question still stumps me.

You need to have a heart-to-heart talk with him so you can apologize, then make amends with him. If he barely speaks to you, send him a friendship card with a note inside and tell him how you are feeling. If he loves you, he will respond. But give him time to heal, too.

Omg, I can so relate to this! Give it time,if you hurt him, then he needs to recover from that. If he still loves you and thinks it's worth one last chance then he'll come back,otherwise....I'm afraid you gotta just try to move on...*thinks* maybe I should take some of my own advice....

I have the same problem with my Girl(if I can call her ex). I was told time can do wonders. But the time stood still since we've been apart. Wish you luck. I need it also.

Give him some time and space, let you both clear your heads for a bit and then try talking to him again.
