The Mormons encourage members to baptise the dead by proxy in the belief they are helping the deceased attain full access to heaven.
Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Genghis Khan, Mao Zedong, King Herod, Al Capone and Mickey Mouse have all appeared for a short time in the International Genealogical Index (IGI) for proxy baptisms.
So Benedict looks set to join his predecessor John Paul and a centuries-long list of popes Mormons have baptised -- despite the fact that he, back when he was the Vatican's top doctrinal authority, ruled that Mormon baptisms were not even Christian.

Mormon baptisms weren't even Christian? Since when does the Pope have an authority over anything other than his own flock? Of course he's going to say something like that, he's trying to protect his bank account.
Anyway, everyone who has ever lived, is alive, or will live needs to be baptised, after the age of 8, by proper authority (Aaronic priesthood) and given the gift of the Holy Ghost to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus Christ did it (via John the Baptist) and we all have to as well, including the popes who have 0 authority because Peter never gave it to Constintine. Once all the Apostles were murdered Christ's church fell into apostacy spoken of in the New Testament. The truth and authority to do anything in Christ's name was long extinct before the Council of Necea and the beginging of the Catholic Church. Peter himself was dead before 100 AD. Thus the reason for the Restoration of all things in 1800s via Joesph Smith. This authority is back on the earth and the work of Baptisms for the living and the dead have been going on with authorith for the last 170 years. Hopefully one day all the popes, cardinals, bishops, and priests will get their day so they atleast have the option of accepting the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

Proxy baptism is what they call "Unfruitful works". Hebrews 9:27 says that first comes death and then the judgement. There are no second chances listed here and no opportunity for him to accept a baptism if it was done in time!
The only thing that the pope will be is dead. He will likely remain a catholic based on what we see in the bible.

If the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints decides to baptize the Holy Father after his death, in the temple... then according to the LDS church he will be a canidate only. The Mormon church does not "count" the deceased as members of the church, they only keep records that proxy work was done on their behalf so that it isn't re-performed.
There is actually historical evidence that shows that the ancient Christian church performed proxy baptisms on behalf of deceased people all the way up until the 4th century when the Catholic Church finally claimed it a heresy. Whether or not it is is a matter for argument.
The bible does say in 1st Corinthians 15:29: (when confronting members of the church who were skeptical of resurrection):
29Else, what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?

Complete and utter nonsense,no Pope has ever been baptized by Mormons and your info is ridiculous,Catholics receive baptism at birth and a second baptism is considered heretical in the first place,in the second place Mormons have no input in the Catholic church at any level.
I think you are trying to spin hatred for Popes and this one in particular.

Who knows. I think the truth will be available to the Pope on the other side, and if it wasn't his beliefs in this life he will probably accept whatever it is. If it happens to be what the Mormons believe, the so be it. He will have the choice, regardless of what the Mormons do in this life.
