To be Sophisticated means to be aware of and to know.
You have to know how to behave yourself in any situation whether it is a party or school.
You should be smart, clean and elegantly dressed,simple clothes for college and school and a dress for an evening party. Be polite to everyone no matter where you are.
Never show off your money or your intelligence or looks.
Do not be proud but be modest.
Greet people with a smile and respect.
Give up your seat for an elderly person.
Never chew bubblegum in a party.
Eat food with your mouth closed.,Do not talk very loudly.
Give others time to talk, do not dominate the conversation.
Listen to others.
Talk softly, do not be loud.
Do not pass rude remarks or be cynical.
Help your schoolmates and without taking the credit for it.
Never talk ill about your friends behind their back.
Your humility and polite behaviour will win you friends in all circles.

a) Knowledge of wines and cocktails and famous designers so you can contribute your opinion. Avoid striptease-like moves on the dance floor. Take it easy with the drinks so you'll be still up and standing till it's time to go home.
b) By being a good listener but at the same time has something to say.
c) Raise your hand if you want to answer or ask a question in the classroom. Be attentive. Avoid chewing a gum during lectures. Sit up straight and pretend that you're interested.

As you say in School properly not a right place .
But you may find in a Place like Social Party and may be in Club.
I don't think when you around with your friends we required to be Sophisticate.
People always watching and judging each other with there own mind,just be cool and try to managed the situation in a Right time at a right place.

Avoid unnecessary argument, be friendly with everyone, help others, if necessary. By the way what is sophistication? Do you mean dressing up glamorously , going to parlours, parties etc.

Light Smiles and not laughs that disturb other people, not to make comments on topics that we are not aware of, use of formal wear and not foolish make up, mimimum moves in party, not to try to attract other people with mad behaviour are some some examples of sophesticated behavior in partys and in general.

People who are truly sophisticated will not be "looking down their noses at you." Instead, they will try to make you feel welcome. The point of this answer is to let you know it's best to just be yourself. You don't have to act in any sort of way.
