The big question is, are you a US citizen? If not, I dont think you can join the US Armed Forces.

If you ARE a citizen, go into the US Army. The training is tough but not sadistic, there are many more career fields in the Army to choose from (of course, in a war EVERYONE is Infantry) than in the Marines and when I went into the Army, they gave up to an extra $8,000 for the completion of "Critical Skill" occupations, such as Military Intelligence, which is what I went into. There are even positons for Army ILLUSTRATOR, if you can believe that.

Army over Marines. The Army has better equipment and training in the technical fields. The Marines are trained to take up to 99% causalities and keep on going. The Army considers that to be nuts-that is what air strikes and artillery are for. The Army you are more likely to be doing what you are trained to do compared to the Marines. Also I agree, stay away from Infantry or rifleman. Also keep you feet on the ground-there is no good reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I am a service office with the American Legion and see too many claims filed over leg and back injuries from going airborne. Take the qualification tests and go for it. Good luck.

same as id give a US guy...take the qualification tests, see what youre qualified for, then make your best judgement as to what you want to do. DO NOT be an infantry rifleman. Select the most challenging technical field youre qualified for. Army over Marines, they're crazy.

There is a test that shows what your capable of doing, it decides what jobs you are able to do. i had a person from germany with me in basic. he couldnt do many jobs due to the need for a citizenship. but if you really want the desire to be a citizenship go for it

Yeah, don't do it. You really want to go fight a war your country has nothing to do with? Go get a girlfriend, hang with your mates. Give mom a kiss. Enjoy your life.

The mere fact that you showed up tells them all they need to know.
