Is German really important? What benefits doest it bring?

Not only Germany and Austria but in all countries of Europe, lots of people speak German.
And anyway, a different language is a different vision of life...it must be really boring to speak only one language, right?

Learn German may be important if you think it is going to bring you a personal reward. Also, once you believe you will find ways to make use of it in your career it is a good choice as a foreign language.
