I'm not being a racists here but, Indians are passionate people. They get passionate about mostly everything, even religions. So, it's a personal thing I guess.

Just forget that there's any fanaticism in here. We Indians enjoy Baisakhi, Holi, Eid, Durga Puja, Diwali, Pongal, Onam, Christmas all together. Then where is the fanaticism?

We all joined hands during the moments of disaster. We did that all the time during Gujarat earthquakes, Tsunami, Guajarat and Maharashtra floods and not to forget the series of bomb blasts in Mumbai. And I bet we always will be united. I'm proud of being an Indian.

Just look at the picture from a different perspective and not with the eyes of the critic. The media just need news to sell. They can hype anything. I know the picture as I see it, perfect blend of different cultures - A perfect example of vastness into oneness...

:-)

Indian are emotional. There is lack of interaction between religious groups. Indian President is making some efforts to narrow differences. This is not adequate. Each religious group must have its own setup for interacting with other groups. Investigating will reveal that most of trouble starts with misinformation. We should take lessons from developed nations. Whatsoever the circumstances, people do not take law into their own land. Violation of law is anti-religious act. This should be taught in all religious institutions.

Just ban religion in public life. This can not be imposed but the nation can create a ground swell by bringing different religious leaders under one platform and create a volutary movement to shun religion in public life. Keep it private and personal.
