I've never heard anything like that and I've probably taken 20 courses based specifically on on aspects of human physiology. It really wouldn't matter if it was true. 3-5 days of 'good' workouts a month isn't going to do anything to change someones body.

Unfortunately the said period is so short it is better not to bother about it.

Eat only when u r hungry.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

I have heard that the week before your period you burn more calories then usual. Many fitness experts say that it is the optimal time for working out. I am not sure why this is though.
Also, a lot of people say working out DURING your period is good for lessening PMS symptoms. Personally, I cannot work out right before my period because i have very very severe cramps, but I wish I could to get the extra calorie burn, so go for it! And even if there is no extra calorie burn, well at least you worked out!

i found the slimmers world food optimising diet really good. I lost half a stone in 2 weeks. Combine that with some exercise and your laughing. You dont have to count calories, or measure and weigh foods like with other diets, and you can pretty much eat what you like in moderation. So if you like a good old fashioned BLT for lunch then you can have one. Sorry to hear of you loss, but good luck with your weight loss jouney.

Sounds like a myth to me.
Does it really matter anyway? If you want to burn calories, get serious about your diet and try to increase your activity level.
All the best.

No I don't think so, but even if it was true, if you're anything like me it would be cancelled out anyway by the extra eating you do !!

edit........no, I still don't think so, sorry.
