I think it is much safer flying. on 9/11, we were loose in our security and the people onboard the planes didn't know they plane was going to be crashed, but the Flight 93 people learned and did something about it, and since 9/11, some incidents did happen on planes, but people tackled the person, so I dont think they will get control of anymore planes. Things you cannot bring on an airplane are guns, knives, lighters and anything that you think would be considered a weapon. Last time I flew we couldn't even bring drinks onboard, even though I bought one 10 feet from the gate. I do feel safer flying now, but we need to keep the security.

As far as safety on the airplanes after 9/11 security has improved and it is much safer then before.
For what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you you should go to the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of items that are allowed in both your carry on and checked luggage.

Hope this helps and have great flight!

Visit www.tsa.gov. They have all of the rules and regulations listed as far as what you can and cannot bring onto the plane.
