Arms hanging to the sides like an ape?Is this from having oversized arms?

I always thought they looked like they had a couple of canned hams under their arms. I don't think there's any routine those guys follow to 'achieve' that look. It seems to a a posturing for some men who feel they've really hit 'the zone' where their shoulders are concerned. If you think about it, you've seen that pose before. You know... when you watch that Mr. World competition. It's the shoulder flex! Only it's become a permanent posture for Mr. Check Out My Delts. I've often wondered what's going on in the head of a guy who thinks about walking around puffed up like that all the time. Could be to distract from other body parts that aren't quite as impressive puffed up?

Where else would they hang? Your arms are, after all, at your sides!

A lot of the effect you see (I assume you're talking about the typical bodybuilder's frame) has to do with the developement of the Latissimus dorsi muscles of the upper back. The more developed they are, the wider they flare. The wider they flare, the further apart the arms appear. This can make the arms look like they hang more loosely than they actually do, so I suppose it could lead you to think the arms themselves are longer.

Honestly, though... I'm a bodybuilder myself, and train others professionaly. Most of the guys who do this are the guys who have to force themselves to do it. I call it "macho posturing," and in an alpha-male setting like a gym (we all know of guys who only go in there to show off, right?) people are all over the place, artificially puffing out their chests and spreading their backs. The funny thing is that the guys they're trying to look like don't look a thing like that! That particular pose (it is, in fact, recognized in competition) actually has to be practiced so that it doesn't look goofy. Not everyone succeeds. *Sigh!*

Eat only when u r hungry.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.
