and recently he drank only a couple shots of vodka, while the whiskey didnt even get him drunk? the shots of vodka completely disorriented his ability to function normally?

one night he couldnt get drunk, the next night he was way too drunk? this concerns me

Lots of it depends on if he had a good sleep the night before and how much he ate during the day

its because day 1 he drinks wakes up hungover dosent eat well day 2 he drinks but his body isnt at its best from day 1 and is still trying to process the booze from day 1 so he will get tipsy faster . by about the day 5 you can go on a really cheap drunk 4 or 5 times a day

There's a good chance that some nights he's drinking more than you're seeing. This could be dangerous.

He could be taking drugs. It is a dangerous combination.
