How can one be happy?

Of course happiness exists.

Happiness, anger, despair, sadness, etc are all choices.

I am happy all of tthe time because I choose to look at life as the glass is half full instead of half empty.

When people ask how I am I respond with "better than I deserve" or "if I were any better I would be twins."

I make the choice to be happy, and I am happy.

36 years ago I looked at life as if the glass was half empty, and contemplated suicide all of the time. I had the extreme good fortune to meet a Qigong master that taught me three forms of Qigong and Taoist meditation.

I am sure I would not be here today os Tsang had not taught me how to transform my life.

Happiness does exist. But only if you want it too.

The only way one can acheive true happiness.. is to first be happy with yourself and your situation in life. If you let the petty stresses of everyday life bother you.. then the world will look more like a prison sentence then a beautiful utopia. Look for the beauty in the small things... it makes you appreciate things more. Find one thing everyday to be thankful for. It makes life more worthwhile if you can pinpoint the good stuff rather then the bad. Tell each person in your life how much you love them and why. It makes everyone around you just a little bit more at ease with life.. especially on a tough day.
Thats what i do anyway. And i find that it makes life a little bit easier :)

Yes. There's a radio host named Dennis Prager that talks about politics and popular culture most of the time but every week he dedicates one hour to the subject of happiness because he believes it's so important in everyone's life. You might enjoy it.

Yes it does!

It can only be found through Jesus. No matter what we try to put in our lives, some things make us happy for a little while...but there is still "something missing".

There is a place in our heart only G-d can fill. Ask Him to fill your heart....email me anytime for help and bless you

Jesus does, and if you get to know him,,, you will come to know happiness in its most real form. Also know as Joy

Psalm 51 read on...

" 1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts [a] ;
you teach [b] me wisdom in the inmost place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

..... HERE IT IS>>>

>>> 8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

...AND HERE >>>

>>> 12 Restore to me the JOY of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.

14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
the God who saves me,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise."

PRAISE is also joy and an act of happiness towards God and life.

It exists!!!

You'll reap happiness by offering happiness to others.

Yes.

First you need to find out what makes you suffer. I don't want to speak for you, but I think you'll find it is an attachment to transient desires/objects.

You then need to remove those transient desires and replace them with eternal desires.
