When I was on holiday in high school maybe but now I can hardly have even 30 minutes to myself let alone be bored...
But to the point, try to get something to read that you are interested in like a novel or magazine. Take that time to catch up with friends/ family who you haven't seen for long. Try something creative like knitting or making a duvet, sewing something or learn something new.

I usually read a book, or sleep, or quilt... I have the same problem when I work the 12-9 shift.

I always have something to do. Watch tv, draw, download music/anime, read magazines, fold origami, read a book, play ps2, take a shower, work out, surf the web. come on people, there's always something to dooooooo

use the net. surf it. Y!A etc. once i emailed my friend all these random letters pretending to be someone else, she had a good laugh and i filled up my time.
