Israel is the artificial demon used by the Middle East to blame everything on. It has nothing to do with the Palestinians, since the Palestinians would have been killed off by other Arabs (chiefly Syria) if Israel never existed. Israel has nothing to do with the Muslims fighting in India, Sudan, Chechnya, the Philippines, Bali, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq Sri Lanka, etc.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine highlights the recent in relative terms history of that region. Maps used to read "Palestine" (no Israel on the map) for that entire long narrow roughly triangular piece of land. The United Nations gave part of Palestine to the Jewish people--"Israelies"--who believe it is their land given them by God. The Israelies have expanded the amount of territory they hold and have occupied cities and geographic areas that give them virtually total control of resources--food, water, transportation, agricultural land--and have built large complexes of homes for their people, that is Jewish people, on land that is some cases still belongs by title to Palestinian people. The Palestinians have become a poorer class of workers for the Israelies.
There is much strong belief and emotion about this issue because of the ancient religious stories and the present day belief in a literal translation of particular Biblical quotations.
The conflict focusses our attention on human rights, power, and how the words used to describe events and the labels given to groups of people affect our perception of real on the ground events. For example is a Palestinian 'gunman' a defender of his homeland or is he a militant? Does simply being a male of a given age and ethnicity make one a 'gunman' or must he be holding a gun in readiness to shoot? Is an 'installation' of Israeli military presence in Palestinian territory a correct target of those within the occupied country, or should the world defend the country that installed itself there?
Some people will see this as cut and dried religious question and state flatly that we must defend "Israel" or suffer the wrath of God. Others will view the questions and actions in terms of social and historical right and wrong.

Zionists' psychotic desire to ethnically cleanse the region of Palestinians in order to make way for "greater Israel" has lead to war after war after war.

Zionists operatives in American government as will as the Israeli lobby (AIPAC) in Washington pushed America into war with Iraq FOR ISRAEL. Now they are trying to push us into NUCLEAR war with NONNUCLEAR Iran FOR ISRAEL.

Zionist are a dangerous group. They lie, spy, cheat, steal, invade, and they kill ......... And that just what they do to their one and only "friend" in the world
