My stamp says that I may stay until the 17th but I intend to work here now in USA, Will it be possible to secure a work permit?

If I hire a lawyer for my case, how long will result come out?

I think you can convert your existing visa to a working visa, it depends if there's a company who is willing to sponsor you (give you a job because of your special skills.) It's a long process and its gonna cost you much. Hiring an immigration lawyer would be a great idea but its gonna be expensive

No. There is no such thing as a work permit that is not tied to an immigrant or certain types of non-immigrant visa. If you entered the US on your C1/D visa, you need to leave before you get picked up and deported.
