Hi ive done this loads of time, if its the first time you have done your hair then the bleach should take to your hair at the moment if you dont try and dye over it. The thing i suggest is to hightlight it with Bblonde Highlighting Kit if you dont have anywhere that sells one of those then dont bother using any other kit or hairdye as the bleach wont be for dark hair and you will end up orange. Also do not attemp to bleach your whole head as you could go patchy and trust me its a nightmare to tone down.
The thing is i suggest to you is to leave it to fade out, no permenant hair dye is permenant, the dye you put on will become lighter after a few days if you wash it .
You only think it looks bad and dark because you are used to having your hair blonde, we have all done it and in a few days you will get used to it or after a week then you can use a lighter hair dye. So dont worry you wont look abnormal or anything, To everyone else they wont even notice your hair colour, only you knows you were blonde before you dye it.

Im afriad the only way to get your hair back to its natural is to re dye well actually bleach you could go full head but not really advised the easiest way is to have lots of bleached highlights through it or, you could have a 2 tone done bleach the top and have the brown underneath then u would still be able to see yourself blonde for this type of dying i would suggest you seek a hairdresser it looks great 2 tone.Hope this helps

Hi Kia - eek, poor you! Nightmare, the whole dying hair at home thing. I did mine last week using the same dye Ive always used, but as my roots were quite dark this time, they turned ginger!! Ho hum. Anyway, the best cheap way Ive found of lightening the colour is to use Head and shoulders. something in it strips off colour like no ones business. Dont forget tho to invest in a great conditioner as all the washing will knacker your hair. If the H&S doesnt work, I think youd be best off speaking to a hairdresser. Good luck! Bex x

If it is a semi-permanent hair colour just live with it till it washes out, if its permanent i'd suggest going to your hairdresser don't try anything yourself you could turn your hair orange or worse! Even if you just went to your hairdresser for advice they may be able to suggest something you can buy yourself over the counter to use although they're more likely to want to sort it out in the salon, which could cost quite a bit, but they are the experts let them do their best and enjoy the pampering whilst your there!

you would be best going to the salon really they could strip that colour out and give you back your normal shade, there was obviously some reason in the first place you went darker perhaps if you keep that colour and add blonde highlights it might reduce the dark block colour you now have, try vosene shampoo somebody told me once that could strip hair colour a little, never tried it so dont know how true it is. good luck anyway.

If you live in NYC go to the Village to a store called Aphrodisia. They have henna for natural hair dyeing without the chemicals. They have all colors. That is the only thing i can think of for getting rid of the color you don't like. Hope you find a solution and good luck...

do NOT attempt to fix this yourself! go see a professional hairdresser and ask what you should do. you run the risk of damaging the ends and having to cut it short, so proceed with caution. you may have to go brown, to even it out, going back blonde on top of brown dye will be very hard on your tresses! good luck!!!

hi Kate C, bypass to Sally Hanson's attractiveness/salon save & get hair stripper to do away with the colour, you place it on & then stick to the training. I even have blonde hair & used some previous coloring I had my hair became black it became into poor. My chum(hair expert)does coloring & she stated this may be extra cost-effective & additionally do the trick. Blonde's have extra exciting or so the saying is going. stable success & have a stable day. :0) P.S. website under is for organic coloring.

other then bleach..i dont think so..what would be healthiest for your hair, would to wait a week and then get the lightest blonde they have on the shelf and dye your hair that,it'll probably turn out a light brown or dark blonde or you can just suck it up an get it bleached..or just wait for it to grow out..

be very carefull in what you put on your hair now.you may damage the texture,so my advise is to go to a professional and just ask for a tint remover.it's a sort of bleach but not as strong.then always use a lot of conditioner.good luck!
