It is not our place to judge them we. We must continue to pray and love them just as we must love others.

My religion is not against homosexuality -- in fact, we have a long tradition of celebrating the unions of gay people as spouses as well as several denominations dedicated to LGBT members.

Sadly, in my experience many people who are against homosexuality deal with it badly: by hounding and badgering gay people and, if they can, making them feel miserable about something that they honestly can't help.

People who think homosexuality is against God treat homosexuals as the enemy, whatever that entails. At best, they try to reform them. At worse, they stone them, disown them, excommunicate them. One of my friends told me that one of the reasons he didn't believe in God is because he is gay. This literally broke my heart, and I've even cried before thinking about how so many people are now turned away from God forever because of man's misguided actions.

They treat them like dirt. Don't let this "we pray for them" crap fool you. These are the people that constantly get harassed and insulted by the Christians who nag them about how its "wrong" and to "come back to the lord". Just look at the movement to stop gay marriage in the gvt.

You'll know exactly how they get treated.

Many Christian denominations accept homosexuality, and most accept homosexuals.

Some don't. They just condemn them or harass them. I'll go out on a limb and say that most religions would say not to do this and just embrace them but try to get them to change.

That is a very good reason why NOT to follow a religion. Discrimination is wrong.
