are you crying in your sleep at night? Do you have tears in your ears, from crying all the night?
Could be conjunctivitis or another infection, easy to fix, get some eye drops from your pharmacy or go to the doctor for a prescription.
Could be an allergy. Do you have non-allergenic pillows? Apparently these are worse for allergies than feathers. Feathers don't support mites, but the non-allergenic pillows do.
Could be genetic. Does you dad or mum have red eyes? how about your grand parents.
Could even be your blood pressure. Is it too high?
There, lots of possible answers, you just have to figure out which one is correct.

It may not be pink eye. Ask yourself this... does your eye itch? Do you have a clear discharge coming from your eye? If not you may not have pink eye. Do you wear contacts? Because contacts can sometimes make your eyes red if you don't take care of then properly. Other then that, all I can say is go to the doc.

The redness of your eyes may be caused by lack of sleep or poor quality of same. If you feel tired all the time, then try to find something which will enable you to sleep better. Sleeping 'alone' helps.
You may be able to reduce or get rid of red-eye by using eye drops. You can get non-prescription eye drops at any chemist/pharmasy.

Constantly blood shot eyes are caused by a deficiency in Vitamin B complex. Eat more whole grains, peas, beans, lentils, bran and green leafy vegies.

Maybe it's genetic, mine have always been bloodshot, it's the vessels being too near the surface. I remember them being like that as a child too.

Maybe they are inflamed and irritated. I suggest using some non-irritating eyedrops and seeing an eye doctor. You may have an infection.
