my gum at the top right of my mouth have been bothering me for a few days now. i had braces and when i put my retainers in it just wont stop bothering me. It it numb in that area and i dont know why. I had an abscess tooth back like 6 7 years ago i was wondering if it could be another one of those

Maybe the dang retainer is irritating the tooth/gum area.
Try not wearing the retainer, a few nights, and swish your mouth, with Listerine, or better, half peroxide and half water. Small glass, three times a day.
If it gets worse, go to the dentist, I doubt it is an abscess, could be a mild infection, though.
Sterilize that retainer, in alcohol, too.
