So is life really a result of the big bang either creating or dropping a bacteria on earth that later evolved into the thousands of species we now know?

How can anyone believe this silly fairy tale?

they believe it because than they think they dont have to be accountable to the creator. Than they become gods unto them selfs.

No one claims that the universe or life emerged from chaos or randomness. If such were the case, science would be as worthless as religion in explaining the workings of the physical universe.

As for life emerging and evolving on earth:

1). Evolution has nothing to do with the emergence / creation of life.

2). It would have been more remarkable and unexplainable if life had not emerged on earth.
All of the elements (which also happen to be the most common in the universe) were here, as was the necessary water-rich environment.

The difference between a ‘non-living’ and a ‘living’ molecule is nothing more than the result of natural bio-chemical reactions caused by well-understood natural processes. When you mix certain things together, ‘life’ is the normal and expected outcome.

So, we have this scientific model based on empirical observations and experiments in the real world.

Then we have the Christian model based on the mystical beliefs and mythological beings invented by some unknown quasi-historic Semitic tribes of semi-nomadic goat herders who lived more than 2000 years ago in a pre-Copernican, pre-Newtonian, pre-Darwinian, and pre-Industrial age and knew no more about the physical world and universe than anyone else living at the same time.

And the Fairy Tale winner is?

Hey, upsman ----

Regardless of the fact Hoyle said more than one nutty thing, there are these aspects of his thinking that you conveniently omitted:

1. Hoyle believed in Steady State theory of the universe which does not fly with the Big Bang theory. Nevertheless, his Steady State model TOTALLY REJECTS ANY SORT OF CREATION EVENT.

2. Hoyle believed in panspermia, that live originated in outer space. He thought that space aliens (not God) were responsible for life on earth.

lol. How can anyone believe a fairy tale about an omniscient omnipotent sky fairy that controls everything and will throw you into a fairy land or a land where you burn for eternity if you do what he wants or what he doesn't want?

Honestly, you do know this can be turned right back on you right?

Which is more likely do you think?

That the sky fairy exists? Or the big bang? I'd have to say the big bang. At least science is provable. Your sky fairy isn't.

Who really knows what did it...? If God could create life from dirt, then maybe he used a big bang or bacteria in the process too? The point is - any thing and everything is possible in regard to the beginning of life. We just don't know.

Sir Fred Hoyle was one of the most brilliant men who ever lived. He won a nobel prize in astro-physics. He is the man who coined the term "big bang". Most people think he coined that term to honour the theory. Actually, the term big bang was a term of derision. Fred Hoyle thought the big band theory was the most rediculous thing he'd ever heard of. The idea that nothing could explode and somehow cause the immense order in the universe was the craziest thing he'd ever heard.

"Big Bang" is the theory of the first light that created the Universe.

And it looks like the 'theory' is 'fairy tale' to you. So, I don't need to answer your last question.

Can you believe your plasma screen it's all scientific knowledge that amazes and confounds many but it's seldom the silly fairy tale that is espoused by the superstitious beliefs of the pious.
Are you standing on your head ?

Well would it help if I said it was organized chaos. Unfortunately science and evolution are no fairy tale.

Whatever the nature of nature turns out to be, it's pretty miraculous. For everything to come together like this... that this is a something instead of a nothing, and we're here to contemplate it. It's pretty cool.

You mean more than the fairy tale of some omniscient god that decided to *BING* create everything?

I'll take evolution and door number one, Monty.

Because of the overwhelming scientific evidence in support of what is the true theory (as opposed to the false phrasing you've used).

Far better than your Bible, which has no proof of its spiritual 'revelations' at all.
