If there was the technology we have now, 2000 years ago, the world would be a charred smoking hole.

The answer is simple. Jesus was going according to the Master Plan for mankind and caused intelligence to increase around the late 1800's and into present day "where knowledge would be increased in the time of the end [end of the age] when men will go to and fro". The nukes of our time were "slated" for our age, at our devising, at our choosing ! If technology occurred 2000 yrs ago, global warming would of had its work by now and we wouldn't exist at this time. God knows what He's doing and rest assured, He will intervene into the affairs of mankind just before we totally self-destruct !!! Then, and only then, will we see that we are not as self-reliant as we think we are.

Jesus didn't come to Earth to give technology. He came to serve as an example of what we all could be and to show mankind the way back home. Technology is not needed to return to your home.

I believe Jesus granted man technology many years ago, If you are able to discover that you can do something and make it possible to affect the life man that's technology, in the ascent days there was ark for ships make by Noah, these are technologies that were extended to this modern days and more are still yet to come as soon as man begin to develop and see what they are capable of doing, , IF ONE MAN WAS TO HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY BODY HE WOULD NOT WANT HIS BROTHER TO KNOW OR SEE IT OR WOULD USE IT TO HIS OWN ADVANTAGE, BUT GOD SO KIND THAT NO ONE IS LEFT OUT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF CREATIVITY EITHER IN GOOD OR BAD, THERE ARE ALWAYS A REWARD FOR EVERYTHING THAT ARE CREATED BY MAN. i hope this will convince you that technology existed even before the year 2000

Well first of all, Jesus didn't have the power to grant that... Jesus was a Prophet and Messenger of God. Jesus only did what God allowed him to do. One of God's names is The Evolver... mankind got modern technology when they mentally evolved to that point. By the way, there is proof that some civilization has discovered and harnessed electricity (such as the ancient Egyptians and Romans) Electrical batteries have been discovered in both people's ancient ruins.

God dint grant us the technology we have today. He gave us the mind & the intelligence to achieve the technology. It was the effort of many men & women that has made our lives comfortable today, & thinking back of all the achievements i would say all those deeds would definitely take 2000 years. if not we all would be God wouldn't we?

Jesus was doing worthwhile stuff like cursing fig trees, exorcising pigs, and walking on water. Why provide a solution for disease or famine?
