I have a pug calendar and it has sayings for each day. The one for todays say" If dogs could read books. I'm sure that they'd be books about chasing and catching cats"

However my pugs have no interest in cats. So some of the books I think they would read would be.

How to Find and Fluff a Pillow
Food, Food, Food
How To Sleep for 23 Hour a Day and Still Appear Busy.

My dog would definitely read (or might be writing as we speak, come to think of it):

Self-help:
Thunder and lightening -- what to do and where to go.

Horror:
The Bath.

Entertainment:
Fly, pigeon, fly!;
Don't make me pee in your bed again! and other anecdotes by Mio;

I have a Border Collie named Caravaggio. She would probably read "The Agony and The Ecstasy" as well as Do It Yourself books like...How to Build and Mend Fences, The History of Shepherding, Farming and Tending Sheep. Other books would include the likes of Shearing Sheep for Wool and Profit, or One Hundred and One Dalmatian Knitwear, perhaps Cara's reading would include books on Lambs' Wool Knitting, or Ram Husbandry. Books on territorial rights would be in her library as well. Books on the proper methods of squirrel deterrents, cat physiology, the art of dog fights, and her most cherished book would more than likely be"How to Shadow Your Steward". She never leaves my side you know.
Yep. Her interests are many and the dog would definetly have a magazine collection on many hobbies. Such as "The Proper Bark" collection and she would most definetly subscribe to " Attention to Your Steward's Health" as well as "Every Dogs Companion Digest" She would eschew magazines such as "How to Look Adorable" as she already is, and knows it!! Subscription to classic mags like "The Dirty Dog Rules" would not interest her she would go for an editors' position in the "Brat Dogs" & " How To Be A ***** & Get Away With It!" She is really good at those two subjects.
That would be a short list of Caravagio the Border Collie's reading material.
She is such a cute *****, ya gotta love her.
