Either 1 or 3 depending on if I think the person will even bother to listen. There are certain people here who I know better than to waist my time answering their questions when I know they don't want to bother with any Christians opinion anyway.
I wouldn't exactly call it defending my beliefs though. I would say it's more trying to give them a better understanding of what Christianity really is.

Most of the time I move on to another question. But I am now going to start posting a prayer for that person and ask God to come into their hearts. I would like to challenge all Christians to do the same. If we come together in prayer and agree, Jesus will be in the midst and then we will start to see some miraculous things happen on Yahoo Answers! Calling all Christians to the battlefield! Let's pray and rebuke the devil so he will flee!

It depends on how the Spirit moves me, I hope!
So I guess I would answer 4) other.
Some people are actually attempting to understand, and it comes out as a criticism. While others need to know the truth- God doesn't want everybody. Because none will come except the Father draw him nigh.
At risk of 'casting pearls before swine', I may choose just to leave them. Move on to something that might make a difference. I'm not here to prove myself, but to do the will of God.

Lyn: Ignorance is bliss in most cases. 99% of the time, I will not even, bother to respond to insincere rantings of people, who are determined to not absorb any reasoning whether it be scientific or of eye-witness account. A lot of the critics of Christianity are very ill-informed and closed-minded to it; therefore, one has to go by the adage of: Those convinced against their will are of the same mind-set still ! It's best to move on to more intelligible queries !

I would have to say answer it in the best way that i can, in an non argumentative style. I mean it's one way of witnessing. But if it's a question I'm stumped on, then i just move on. so 1 and 3.

I don't feel that I have to defend it, so much but I do feel that I should explain it, to some people because I could never understand why people would feel the need ,to trash talk to a god they don't believe in, and the Christians because they do. it sometimes makes me sad. sometimes angry , mostly I feel sorry for them ,if they would give Jesus a chance, they would never be sorry for that decision, as I have and believe me when I say ,it was the best thing I have ever done in my life . it's not so much defending your believes but saying what and who you believe in even under difficult times .

If they're way out there and if it's just a question to start an argument, I'll move on. If it's valid, I might agree and post. By & large, they're usually spelled so badly and so out there, I just have to shake my head and laugh.
Gotta wonder about anyone who hates a group of people enough to come here just to post about them. If I hate something, I just ignore it. Plain & simple.

You should always be ready to defend your beliefs... so i defend mine but try to do it in a way as to not seem ignorant to the world... but there is nothing wrong with just moving past it..
