I no this is extream but it happend. I was sleeping one night in my bed and was awoken from my sleep by a Angel. He hoverd over the door to my room above the house. He spoke to me in this way. He had the sound of a trumpet and out of the note which was played midle- C note i understood what he said. Jesus Christ is God and he came to the earth in the flesh FAST. Thats all i've tried over and over to fast but am not very good at it. never herd nothing else verbaly anyway. I no what most will say but believe or not up to you

Oh I totally believe you, my husband has had personal encounters with angels before and I see them all the time but not like how you just described, you should be very happy if you never believed before I know you are now but if you already were then cool, but as far as fasting goes you don't have to go with out water and if it's your first time doing it don't be too hard on yourself, start with maybe a 10 hr. fast with ow food or water then as the days go by for however long you choose to do it see if you can go a little longer but know what it is exactly you are fasting for and find it in the word of God and try not to look at TV while you fast it can be a hindrance but read the Word as much as possible you will feel yourself changing and through the suffering you will notice a purification feeling that's a time when you can really have a close encounter with the spirit realm it's awesome God bless

Ask the Lord to lead you into how long to fast. A one day water fast or a thirty day water, juice fast. Ask a pastor or devout Christian to anoint you with oil,and to hold you up in prayer before & during your the fast & tell no one else about your fast, it is between you & the Lord. Consider your health as to how you can fast.Do not stop medicine like insulin etc...Stay in the scriptures seeking His face.
Whom the Lord sets free is free indeed. You will have a deeper relationship & understanding of what God's will for your life is. Peace & strength to you as you do what the Lord wants you to do "fast" God Bless you.

If the message the "angel" gave you had signifigance to you then maybe that's what you should focus on while you are fasting, if it had no significance then be sure that this is an angel. There are only a few types of angels even talked about in the Bible, if I recall correctly there are three. Research angels(in the Bible) and pray to God for guidance if you need assistance, it is the easiest way to communicate with God and does show results.

I am not most and have seen the angels too, they are waking the generation for the second coming, when he told you to fast he is telling you get spiritually prepared and to fast is to give up the worldly even food. Nobody is good at it because you have to suffer but he wants us to come alive in Christ and get a big dose of the Holy spirit and fasting makes it hap pend at a faster rate. Anyways do the best you can and read as much word as you can, that's the most important, it can be a fast of not watching TV and instead reading his word, it will get you blessed quick! I think you misunderstood the Angel when he said fast. The angel did not mean to go without food . But that God sent Jesus in a hurry to be the Messiah that the Jewish people were praying for to deliver them from the Roman rule.

I don't really believe that angels appear with no valid reason. Maybe you have to do something good for them or you done wrong which you need to change. If what you said is true, then you are a lucky person to see an angel. Always thingk that everything happens for a reason. Just trust God, he will lead to the right way. Always pray to Him.

You eat until you are satisfied, but do not eat certain things.
In Medjugore, a glass of water and a hunk of black bread is what was eaten when they fasted. Someone from my parish said that it was so filling they could hardly finish it. I think that they only fasted on Wednesdays and Fridays. Not precisely sure about that tho
