the most effective way to grow taller is to exercise more, such as play basketball, jump rope, swimming, etc. You may also want to take calcium supplement to assist you. Be sure to get enough sleep too. Do not do weight traing or bodybuilding until you are 21 or 22. because it can stunt growth.

1. You are almost nearing the end of growth at this age.
2. Consult a endocrinologist and check your thyroid and other related glandular function.
3. Calcium and iron and other multivitamins are essential. Take a lot of Diary products, without fat content.
4. Do stretching exercises that will elongate and keep straight your back.
5. Start Yoga practices such suryanamaskar and pranayama.
6. Above all believe and dream that you can grow further.
7. Last but not least being a little short does not matter if you are intelligent and win the world. Hope you know Mr.Lal Bhagadur Sastry; he was only 4.5ft tall.

you might have a late growth spurt - not sure if there is too much human intervention though that will work in situations like this though sry.
