I don't think we can really identify God, but we can identify with Him. As humans it makes us feel better to be able to identify or associate God in terms that we know and understand, but the reality of it is that there are no words to describe Him. That is why it so common to associate seemilngly contradictory traits to God: He is intolerant yet forgiving, a servant and a leader and is like a lion and a lamb.

How do we identified a God who existed before He created everything we can observe? The God who is eternal? The God who is spirit?
Science can not identify God since God exists in the unobservable.
There is only one way we can identify God is that God reveals Himself to us. Revelation.

Some people claim that we can. Some people say they can hear Him. Some people say that can feel Him. Some people say they just know he is there. My point is, everyone has different experiences. Since you believe in God, think back to a time where you thought you didnt have a way out of a bad situation or when you were hurting and got through it. What, who, or how, do you think you got through that situation? They say He works in mysterious ways. And since He is a good force, maybe he brings out the good in you. So, if you want to, identify him as the good or moral force in your life. Good luck.

When you are in the middle of the sea.. on a big boat and the wind start taking you left and right and the boat was about to sink there you will ask someone to help you who you can't see you will not ask any human .. your heart will turn to him .. the one who you believe in your heart that he will help you .. there you will know there is GOD and after you came to the land safely here were you will forget there was a GOD ..

yes you can! the Bible says you may know. You read the word, his word and then it awakens you inside to the spiritual kingdom of God and his Christ and you can get his Holy spirit to come live in you and then you can perceive his spirit presence and that spirit reveals his word when you read it. It is living word!John 3. see the Holy spirit. and acts 2
