Depends on the translation some have attributed the passage from Isaiah 14:12 to be the reference to the fall of Lucifer yet a name is not given and reading the passages prior to and after does not indicate that this passages is in this regard.

New International verson Isaiah 14:12
How you have fallen from heaven,
O morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!

King James Version Isaiah 14:12
12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

There are scholors who say this is in reference to a Babylonian King, and that since the roman's called the morning star Lucifer this is how Lucifer came to be mixed up with this passage and quite possibly how the name of Satan become Lucifer.

I have not read anywhere in the Bible about Satan being a top angel, just an angel. It does talk about his fall because of pride. Michael the Archangel is the angel over everyother angel. Job 1:6 Job 2:1, 1 Timothy 3:6. Satan's name is not Lucifer, it is Beelzebub which is found at Matthew 10:25, Matthew 12:24, and Mark 3:22.

You can read its details on Isaiah 14:12-15

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
