I have one that does movies but it doesn't do data. Any suggestions?

Try burn4free, there is actually quite a few on download.com

To look at the other ones, go to

Search for "data dvd", then once the search is done, scroll down a bit and its got a bar with a few drop down menus to filter the results, change the first menu to your operating system (windows XP right?) And then change the third one (licensing) to free. Tada

Though not on that list, I personally use SilentNight's MicroBurner. It is shareware, but unregistered versions only have a few limitations. This also doesn't need to be "installed". You can run the .exe from a flash drive on any WinXP computer.

dont goto download.com because all of the good software is trial software everything else is crapware goto http://xtremware.t35.com and get Nero for free it comes with all plugins so you have everything you need.
