I had morning/afternoon/evening sickness for all 9 1/2 months . I still gained 70 pounds < I was seriously underweight before pregnancy> .
Drink ginger ale and nibble on saltines before you get up. Eat lots of broth and invest in cheesy crackers and green tea !
Worked for me....

Everyone is different. Stop worrying. I didn't start putting on weight until about the six month. I'm now 36 weeks and I'm HUGE. I've put on so much weight it is crazy. But this happens to me every pregnancy. This is my third. I always lose weight the first trimester, sit steady the second and pile on pounds like crazy the third. That is just my body. I gained a total of 50 pounds my first two pregnancies. My docs kept picking on me for it but it didn't matter that I was eating healthy and STILL exercising. I couldn't keep off the weight. So far I've gained 41 pounds with this one. It makes no difference what I do. Some women gain a lot. Some women don't gain much at all. I wouldn't worry at this point. Let your body do what it is going to do. As long as you are eating healthy and getting the proper nutrients then I don't see an issue.

Alright, well my first question to you is, is this your first pregnancy? And if so then don't worry. I am 5 months pregnant with my first child and I lost wieght I was 183 when I first found out I was having a baby and then gradually over my next two trips to the doctor I wieghed 173 and then 167. I now wiegh about 171. My point is, is it is completely normal for a first time mother to be to lose wieght so you have nothing to worry about. Your doctor and many other people can tell you the same thing. However if you are losing to much wieght that can be a problem. Just eat healthy and eat fairly good portions. Even though food doesn't look good to you right now you need to make yourself eat anyway, because not only do you need the energy and the nutrtion your baby does too. I hope I have helped a little.

I gained almost nothing with my first child until my 6th month, then I gained 2 lbs a week. I gained 10 pounds right off the bat with my second kid and then nothing until my 7th month. Are you actually throwing up still? They can give you something to help with that. I'd say when you DO eat, make it a calorie dense food, lots of protein and fat if you can, maybe like smoothies with frozen yogurt and wheat germ, stuff like that, to get the most nutritional bang out of your foods. Do please take a supplement if you haven't been, and remember your baby can only be built out of the blocks you provide....make sure you provide enough of the necessary pieces to get the job done. But really, 5 months isn't that far along, I would worry if you were like 7 months and hadn't gained anything. I didn't even show until nearly 7 months, I wouldn't be too worried yet, just paying attention to how it progresses.

Number 1, stop listening to everybody. Some women lose weight during the first trimester of thier pregnancy, so the scale doesn't look like its moving much in the scond trimester. I only gained 17 lbs my entire pregnancy, I ate normally and had a very healthly pregnancy. My doctor made me write down everything I ate and she saw that I wasn't starving myself so she left me alone. Every women is different, so you can't go by another women's pregnancy. You'll be fine.
