I paid $20 for a personal website. After finding someone I liked, I emailed them. The person emailed me back but instead of asking about me, she asked me to email someone else on the personal website because she didn't want to pay and asked me if I could email them for their email address. What do you think of someone like this? I stopped corresponding with her by the way.

You missed the opportunity to show him/her how rude they were. How about a reply like this: ' I emailed him/her and told {her} what you told me to say and she/he said that anyone who is too cheap to pay the meger $20.00 fee obviously does not want to talk to me (her/him)'
or something to that effect!

what a jerk/bytch! S/He did do you a favor! Glad you did not invest anything other than a few lines of type! Imagine how much worse it could have been if s/he had pretended to be anything other than the azzhole s/he is!

This really is not a bad thing however, I think that it is YOU that is wrong here....see you are looking at this a bit backwards....

The way I see it, you owe that person a debt of gratitude! Under 'normal' circumstances, s/he could have wasted an entire evening of your life with the 'get to know you dinner' during which you would have had to listen to hours upon hours of nervous chatter and boring self centered conversations. What would have taken you an hour or way more to learn, you now know in the course of thirty seconds.
One can only hope that all the jerks would respond like this.
Also, give yourself credit too. The poor person that the jerk wanted you to email wont have to be bothered with this person at all.
YOu have some 'good karma' on credit now thanks to this act!
