I am not sure what you are asking. Did you have them in your pocket and they fell out so now they are lost or did you do something while driving that caused your license to be taken away? If you can't find them, then you can go get a duplicate made where you got the other one, but if they have been taken from you by the law, you better save your change and ride the bus till they give them back. Oh, and incidentally, the term "give them back" means be prepared to pay a plenty.

You didn't say how you lost it:
If you lost it to the court... its gone! Start walking, etc..
If you lost it as in 'where the heck did I put it'... take some ID and go down to your local DMV and get a new one.
Drive there carefully, (after all you still have a license, you simply do not have it with you). If you get stopped the worst will be a fixit ticket but the cop will likely let you skate if you can show you are heading there.
BUT... since a license is support for so many other things you should definately get it replaced asap.

you can either call the DMV in your state and request a new one sent to you, but your best bet is to go in person , all you will need to bring is 2 forms of identification and i believe there is a small replacement fee , and you should be all set!
