With all that chrome and style, i think that car looks awesome. I'm 18, so i'm a little too young to be driving a buick, but i love the looks of it. Not to mention you can get a v8 in it...wow. I know this sounds dumb...but that car stands out so much among the other crap out there today. What do you think?

I have a 2007 Buick LaCrosse CXS and its nice " I Luv It " It has everything you need in it and more than some of those cheap built cars out there. But Buicks are really good cars GMC is like one of the best Car Distribution in the World. Its all about how you take care of your car. Last, The Buicks are in the Top five with The BMW, Benz, Chevys, Chryslers, Buicks....... Now what!!!!!!!!! Do your homework first before you start believing crazy people....

I have owned a 2007 Buick Lucerne CX since it was new and have 50,000 miles on it. I have had NO problems with this car at all. It has a very smooth engine and transmission and a great ride. I think it s very good looking in the color I got, Ming blue. Acceleration isn t tremendous, but at zero to 60 in 9 seconds flat very adequate.

The Lucerne is certainly alot better than the novacaine-numb Park Avenue it replace. Sadly, GM didn't even manage to build a car as good as the Cadillacs that the Lucerne is competing against.
As for the design, it's better than most generic luxo-barges, but it's not the bland perfection Buick was aiming for in it's attempt to compete with Lexus. To my eye, the Lucerne looks like a copy of the VW Phaeton mixed with a Toyota Avalon, with a last-generation Mecury Sable grill slapped on the front, and a perfect example of the half-baked derivative and group-think mindlessness that has nearly bankrupted GM.
I'm not so sure that Harley Earl, GM's design chief from it's golden era, isn't spinning in his grave with Buick reviving the fake (rectangular!) exhaust ports on the front fender flanks when Buick designers could be drawing on past design successes instead.
GM may wake up and improve this car before it's production run ends, otherwise, it will take substantial after-market modifications to bring a Lucerne up to the standard GM would like for it to set.

first off, buicks arent really that great of cars. Second off, the lucerne is hideous and generic. If you want chrome, buy a 50s car, not a super generic POS by GM.
and the first guy was totally right. the resale on buicks is absolutely pathetic. Nobody wants them for a reason.
and a v8 means nothing. theres 4 bangers that put down way more power than many v8s. What matters is the power curve, efficiency, and the tuning on the engine.
and it does stand out. Its a raving pile of crap. just a bunch of terribly put together GM parts bin parts with a new name and some oversdone chrome to make a goon like you think its "pimp" or whatever.
here ya go buddy:
find me a study of long term reliability where buick ranks higher than toyota and lexus (which have been 1-2 in most well done surveys in the last decade or so, consumer reports and JD power and associates are total crap BTW and usually only test initial quality, which is irrelevant). Reliability still has nothing to do with resale value, or how the car drives. ive DRIVEN a lucerne, and it made my skin crawl. It was patheric. the steering felt like it was out of a 15 year old truck, and for having a v8, which supposedly makes it fast by your logic, it was slow, and handled similar to a boat. the brake feel felt similar to my suburban.
when youre over the age of 20, and stop being wowed by some cheaply made fake chrome on a poorly styled car, then come talk to me. And when you actually go drive some of its competitors and realize how terrible the car is to drive.
and to the guy below me:
Chevy, BMW, buicks, chrysltlers and mercedes arent by any means the most reliable cars. theyre middle of the pack at best. Honda, porsche, toyota, lexus, and acura would be a more accurate top 5.

I love the looks of that car! I really like those little chrome rectangular airhole things on the side (I don't know exactly what they are). But I agree, no one our age (I'm 17) could pull off a Buick... Even if they are nice.
