I don't have a sister like this ,but a brother...
the way I went about it...was in small doses...I tried to keep our time together brief...sounds bad I know...but the longer we are around each other the more I want to kick his behind.........or choke the living _____ out of him.....and we are older people....
when you get a hold of a ...know it all ...self centered ....spoiled rotten brat .....it has the tendency to bring out the worst of qualities in a person..or in my case it does...I found it best for all concerned to breeze in and out and keep at a respectable distance between times.....and if I am forced into a conversation....I try not to comment to much about anything......and if it feels like I am being pinned down on an issue that I know will result in an argument (which.. if I give an opinion..it will end in an argument)...I make excuses and leave .........
If your sister is under foot...you may just have to be honest and tell her to give you some space...tell her you can't stand her bratty ways ..that you are getting older and have more things to have to contend with and you don't need someone to add to it......
by the way...I do love my brother... I just can't stand to be around him for any length of time.....strange but true........
