Because we have a lot in common ( i've never met this fellow but he is also a writer and we are both passionate about it.) I don't want to ruin my friendship with my friend... I would rather avoid meeing him, I told her no... I told her I wasn't interested but she is persistant. I feel if I let her have her way and meet him and things work out it will ruin our friendship becuase I KNOW how much she likes him. She insists we will really hit it off. What should i do? or how do I tell her no?

Don't you realize that what she is doing is using you as bait? This girl is prepared to have you risk your disappointment, heartache, or even safety for her satisfaction. What sort of friendship is that?
Meet the guy, see what develops, and if he's the one for you, serves her right. She deserves to lose him. But I suspect that you may have to watch your back if he does take your fancy. I wouldn't trust that girl an inch!

Keep it simple my friend! Don't trust her (your friend) no matter what. You make you own relationship and be it, you can't take your friend everywhere you go, right?. Ignore that guy, don't write to him, don't think about him for a day etc think well, he's not the only one, make new friends, email guys! Give it a go!

And that is exactly what would happen. You would ruin your friendship with your friend. That is an accident waiting to happen.

a big strong no to her attempts to get you two together.
since she likes him try tipping her in on the things that you and the guy have in common.
at the end of the day it sure would be good for all if they hit it together

DON'T FALL FOR HER TRICKERY....you have good instincts, go with them. When she finds a guy and if you are still interested, then have her introduce you, until then, tell her you are not interested and be adamant about it.

i think you should go for it... if your friend is insisting for it that badly... or you could just come out and confront her and ask her honestly if she would mind at all... or if you don't wanna get involve just explain to your friend that you think she should go for him instead...
