ive been best friends with him for about 1.5 years. i completely trust him & i love him. i dont know how he feels & i dont want to ruin the friendship, its my birthday in 4days & im having a huge party & afterwards he is sleeping over, there is not any sexual things there. we will not b sleeping with each otha. i hav tried flirting with him but as im a naturally flirty person he hasnt taken in personally. i dont want to do anything to harm the friendship. do u hav any ideas of what i should do??? please help! thanx in advance! =]

I've had best friends of the opposite sex, and I believe that in any mixed relationship like that, there's one person who wants it to be a relationship and the other doesn't. So, accept that he may not feel the same way about you. That said, I would definitely sit down and tell him. Say, "I like you and I would like us to date each other if you're interested. If you're not, I hope you can forget this conversation so we can still be friends." Hopefully, it will work out. If not, it will be awkward for awhile, but at least you won't always wonder if you should have said something.

When you get a chance to speak with him privately, ask him if he thinks that the two of you might become more than friends, one day. Even if he answers no, he still might change his mind. If he doesn't want to be more than friends, no harm is done except you will have to get over being disappointed to still be friends. Good luck.

He might like you too, but will ASSUME cuz your a woman that you only want to be friends. I know u dont want to put yourself in a compromising situation, but u never know until u ask. Ya'll women are hard to judge sometimes, cuz we(guys) never know when you(girls) like us.
