It is a Dr. Levine product. My mother has one but can't remember where she purchased it from, and she'd like another one for a bowling colleague.

Better - HELP - Have him read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies so he can help himself not need the brace.
It deals with muscles, pain and referred pain.
The odds are that the pain is coming from his quads (muscles in the upper leg) that are tight.
A massage therapist can also help, but many of them do not know about how to get to all the muscles this book covers.
