I am teaching my kids the language using fun web sites. I would suggest http://www.starfall.com and http://www.brainpopjr.com to start. Good Luck!

Thank you for asking this question and I am happy to give you my 2 cents. Here is my advice.
1. learn words from Dictionary every day and try to spell them Make a habit 5 words a day.
2. If you have Internet you can learn from Yahoo Answer by reading the question and answer. Try one question a day and if you get struck then I urge you to try dictionary for the meaning.
3. watch American television stations or BBC if your hometown has them. You can learn so much from News and television.
4. You have to read a lot. Everyday try to read 2 pages a day and continue to read more when you are able to read. Use dictionary to find the meaning.
5. Everyday learn how to write a short sentence and goes into paragraph. Then try to write a page.
6. Remember the grammar. Please find a grammar book in your library or buy one. It will help you to write a good English essay.
7. look for a tutor who can practice with you everyday. Meanwhile, he or she can help you with the pronunciation,American slang and grammar.
8. You need to have time line, how long? and when you can test your English knowledge and be able to move forward.
9. You have to have a determination and believe in your ability " I can do " then it will not take you long to be able to communicate effectively.
10. America is very close to you and I wish you can take place with me. I want to live in Mongolia. I saw a story about Mongolia from KQED in my hometown. It was beautiful and peaceful. I wish I were there. Good luck and Happy New You 2007.
