God is a pretend being made up by the romans to keep their citizens undercontrol long ago. Religion is the root of all evil because the truth is that we are just EXTREMELY lucky to evolve from past failed forms (fish, rats, apes ect), we are lucky to have the elements Carbon, Hyrdrogen and Oxygen and we are lucky the earths gravity is constant and temperature is perfect for life. We are just lucky thats it. You can either live your life being some white chud on cloud built the world for us or you can take a more realistic approach and understand the chances of us being here are 1 in a number that does not exist. Understand that there are at least a billion billion trillion pezillion other colonies out there, distanced so far it would take a billion billion trillion pezillion years to find at the speed of light. Take a nice long look at a picture of the 'known university', download google earth... and you will see how small we really are. God and religion are really just the product of human beings thickheadedly believing we are the only deserving things in the universe. Take a look at the advertising you saw during the super bowl, do you really think God created us for that?

Questions like this I see often in this category.
In the end, the result is the same - urinating into the wind.
The christians and those of other faiths are convinced, and a question like this would not even get them to think.
Most just plaster this space with never-ending quotes from the bible (koran). As if you couldn't find one and read it for yourself.
The role of the dirt was this - the notion that something was necessary to create something else.

If I were to play along I would say the dirt was already made from nothing and was symbolic of some god awful perversity as women being second class because they are made of the man's rib but I don't indulge such and refuse to give undue credit that is ill deserved so I call such primitive superstition poppycock.

He did not need dirt. He used it as creation, G-d can create anything. Do not try to limit what is not limited or understand what your or my mind could understand. G-d is much greater than that. It is when we limit G-d that we mistate what he does or can do. The bottom line is G-d could use dirt or nothing. I think it is metaphoric that we come from dirt and we should go back to dirt. Kind of the circle of life concept.

He used a rib to create Eve because he wanted men and women to have a "connection". Dirt well dirt, so to say humans are apart of the Earth.

If you think it is simple to create life just by dirt and a rib alone, then why don't you do it? You have exactly the ingredients to create life. Or don't you?

Creating man from dirt is a "circle of life" type of thing ... the original form of recycling.

Take a physical science class and then take human anatomy and chemistry. And THEN try religion. Matter can neither be created or destroyed. Only changed. (Am I talking to myself here???) So the matter used were elements to create the human body.

First of all, I wouldn't assume anything about God
(what He "can and and can't do")
(that He needs anything)
And, don't over-speculate on meaningless topics, in my experience you will come to an unhelpful and meaningless conclusion, questions were meant for self-improvement, any extra knowledge is pointless to ask for and will clutter your mind from what you need to be focusing on
