Do you really think singing songs off of a projected screen makes your church so much more friendlier?

The church that I go to uses the hymnal and the screen, but more out of the hymnal. So, when ever I went to church last, which has been a few months.. I dont think that it makes it friendlier to sing a hymn off of the screen, I always thought the reason they did that it because it is easier to read it and you don't have to take the time to find the page the song is on.

Ages ago... Most of those old hymns are so corny that they only add boredom of the rest of the church services. Even if they are projected on screens won't help. Maybe the old organ rythms are passé too. Besides, Black Gospel songs and new-wave Christian music are more dynamic and uplifting. Praise the Lord for coming to the rescue! Old hymnals are song books not Bibles.

We use a hymnal at each and ever service and Bible Study at our Church building. We do not use a projector for such instances. It is probable that your church does not have enough hymnals or there are too many vision problems in the group. Have a great week.

Sometimes we think that change is absolutely necessary when it really isn't. I sing both ways, the old hymns and the overhead. My choice would be a mixture of the two, however some churches feel that in order to attract the younger generation, they have to change things, and the old hymns in the old song books get stuck in the closets. But it makes you wonder, what else might we change?

There were some Christians years ago that believed it was wrong to have hymnals in church. It's one of Satan's ways to get you to argue a mute point and focus your attention away from God.

This morning at church. We also use a projector. I don't think it makes it any friendlier, or in any other way better. It is more cost effective. The savings allows that money to be spent elsewhere in the ministry.

Sunday before last. "How great thou art" it seems that many Churches today are content to use the overhead screen for both the modern and old time hymns

certain, i comprehend that one. My favourites are "i am going to Fly Away" and "i'd be waiting (on the a strategies side economic employer of Jordan)". My loved auntie died the former day and that one's been in my head all day.
