The GOOD NEWS is HE never said anything of the kind and you have an opportunity to be a CHristian. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
HEAR - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
BELIEVE - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
REPENT - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
CONFESS CHRIST - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
BE BAPTIZED - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

Such decision can never come from God. God teaches us to repent for our mistakes by helping others or ourselves through ways like confessions, admittance of the bad deed as a way to punish ourselves.
But cutting down your body is inhuman and simply unthinkable punishment for any crime.
If you have to be punished try helping people, so that no one else repeats the wrong doings you committed.

Read the whole article. It was in reference to eternal life after death. Pick the one that causes you to distance yourself from Him such as violating His rules. Where do you place your priorities? If God is not in your interest. why would God want you?

God would never tell you to do them. You are refuring to a parable Jesus spoke about. with temptation, "If your eye causes you to sin poke it out,it your hand causes you to sin cut it off.
