I like Orville Redenbacher's popcorn that you have to pop yourself. I have an old, old green pot with a glass top that I have used for years (for some reason, I like the way the popcorn comes out with this pot). I use microwave popcorn only infrequently. Second layer of this question is: Have you ever snuck your own popcorn, candy or drinks into a movie theatre? I love parmesean cheese and extra butter seasoning on mine. When I pop corn, I like to let the butter brown up and reach the 'foam/frothy level', then put salt in the butter mix, then top with parmesean cheese, bag that sucker up in double plastic grocery bags and off to the movies I go. Since I am not much of a soda drinker - I will order a cup of ice. Crunch and munch time. loll

I don't necessarily have a specific brand I like. I looooove any type of popcorn as long as it's super buttery. There's one particular type that a friend just recently introduced me to & i LOOOVE it....just can't remember the brand that makes it. It's called pour over. Each bag of the microwaved popcorn comes with a packet of butter (or cheese) that you pour all over the popcorn once it's popped. YUMMMM! The only non-microwaved popcorn I've ever liked is the kind my grandpa would make in one of those makers that spills out into a bowl or the kind that my friend's grandma would make for us during sleepovers. I'm not sure exactly what she did but all I know is that she'd take a giant pot, pour in popcorn kernels & some type of cooking oil. Then she'd pop it that way & it would turn out good by itself.....plain with a little bit of salt on it. MMMMM!

As for the second part, yes I have snuck stuff into a theater....it's just cheaper that way!! Just a movie ticket alone is like $8 or $9 here (this is why I don't go anymore) & once you add on just popcorn & a drink you've already spent like $15....it's ridiculous. One of my friends would bring this shoulder bag she used as a purse sometimes. We'd go to the grocery store, buy small bottles of something to drink, buy popcorn or candy & the stuff it all in there. They never checked people so we would get into the movie just fine & have a ball & "chow down" the cheap way =o)

I love Orville Redenbacher's microwavable popcorn- just the plain white kind. Then I melt butter and pour it over with a little bit of salt. Soooo good! Haha sneaking in food to the movies is so much fun! They never have what you like so we sneak in some of our fave candies and we get them for half the price so, it all works out! :)

Wow, you've got it figured out. I like caramel corn the best...I'm lazy so I do the microwaveable kind. When I was little, my mom had a popcorn popper...the kind that got plugged in and spewed the corn out into a bowl when it was popped. I wasn't a big popcorn fan back then...too bad. Love it now! Especially the low-fat kettle corn (in addition to the caramel corn)!

we do not purchase popcorn to make at living house any extra ... so i ought to ought to say 'action picture theater popcorn' ... the biggest bag, with 'more effective butter' (a minimum of four situations on that butter, please) ... yet i have were given a 'gastric problem' and would must have my gall bladder bumped off, so i do not imagine i'd be allowed to devour ANY popcorn for really awhile. DARN. i really do love sharing that bag of popcorn with my husband!
