It really depends on what job you are going for. See what the employees are wearing, and where something similiar. Remember it is ALWAYS better to overdress than underdress! If the job is professional I would suggest wearing something like a suit (either trouser or skirt, doesn't matter). Just make sure it is modest. If it is a skirt, make sure it comes down close to the knees.
Good luck, and I hope you get the job!

Think what will make you stand out and get noticed. You are trying to impress in a shortest possible time against competition. You don't get a second chance to create the first impression. Be proud of your origin and wear pride with dignity. (You think Indira Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi would have made a better impression with a suit?)

Go conservative, simple. You can't go wrong with a suit; suits with slacks are generally more formal than those with skirts. Go in with the concept that your outfit going unnoticed is better than risking that it will be judged negatively. Don't wear perfume--your interviewer may not like/be allergic to it. If you wear jewelry, wear it lightly and make it simple. A watch shows responsibility. If your hair tends to wisp in your face, tie it back so as not to fidget during your interview. Don't overdo the makeup; again, keep it simple. Most importantly, wear confidence!

For any interview, one must wear decent, elegant and clean clothes.
For your interview, it depends in what country you are. Then if you are in India, what region you are in.
If you are in North India -Delhi wear a suit, if in Mumbai you can wear trousers, if in South India, please wear a saree.
It depends on the Company that is interviewing you also. Find out discretely what dress other employees wear to office and dress accordingly.
It also depends on the nature of the job .

Professional business attire. Dress to impress. Wear the suit to the interview, and dress it down just a bit once you get the job.

Knowing what kind of job you're applying for would affect the decision somewhat, but I'd say to err on the side of formality. That is, go with the suit, or the most formal choice. No decent job interviewer will penalize you for going too formal.

It depends on the position you are going for. If it is an office position a nice suit is the norm. Definitely go smart and stylish. Hopefully though they are more focussed on what you are saying then what you are wearing.

I would definitely wear a suit. It never hurts to impress a possible employer. You only get one chance at a first impression.
